Highway Traffic Management has been able to support Tamworth Girls U12 Football Club after their initial sponsor dropped out last minute.

HTM, a leading temporary traffic management company, is proud to announce its official sponsorship of the Tamworth Girls Academy U12s for the upcoming 2024 and 2025 season. This partnership signifies HTM’s commitment to supporting youth sports and fostering the development of young athletes in the Tamworth community, and for the first time supporting a female sports team within the West Midlands.

As a company who have introduced an EDI strategy this year following recommendations from Earnst & Young as part of the National Equality Standard (NES) Assessment, HTM recognises the importance of investing in local communities and believes in the positive impact that sports can have on the lives of young individuals. The sponsorship of the Tamworth Girls Academy U12s aligns with HTM’s dedication to promoting teamwork, leadership, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth, whilst also supporting female sports teams which can often be overlooked in terms of funding and support.

The Tamworth Girls Academy U12s, known for their passion, dedication, and sportsmanship, are set to embark on an exciting journey in the 2024 season. HTM’s sponsorship will provide the team with both their home and away kits for this season and on into 2025.

“We are thrilled to partner with the Tamworth Girls Academy U12s for the 2024 and 2025 season,” said Ross Simpson, Senior Contracts Manager at HTM. “At HTM, we understand the importance of community engagement and the role sports play in shaping the future of our youth. We look forward to supporting the Tamworth Girls Academy U12s as they showcase their talents and passion for the game. It’s also fantastic to be championing female sports in the West Midlands which reflects our efforts of ensuring better representation of women within the traffic management industry. Similarly within football, female sports have traditionally struggled to get funding and sponsorship as easily as male sports clubs.

The Tamworth Girls Academy U12s expressed their gratitude for HTM’s sponsorship, with their Team Manager, Stacey Moore stating, “We are extremely grateful for HTM’s support. Their commitment to our team is a testament to their dedication to community development and youth empowerment. With their support, we are confident that we can achieve great success in the upcoming season.”

HTM looks forward to a successful partnership with the Tamworth Girls Academy U12s and wishes the team the best of luck in their endeavors throughout the 2024 season and beyond!
