Highway Traffic Management have raised over a quarter of their annual target with over £2.8k raised through their Summer Wolf Run event.

Highway Traffic Management (HTM), a leading provider of traffic management solutions, brought together employees from their Birmingham and Lincoln depots last month to complete the Summer Wolf Run event held in the grounds of Stanford Hall in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The event challenged participants to either a 5K or 10k run which featured an array of obstacles set in the wild springs and dense woodlands of the grounds of the Stanford Hall estate in Leicestershire, including a landslide waterslide stretching over 100ft and the notorious ‘mud sucker’ obstacle.

Sharon Ryan, Payroll Administrator, took the crown for the top fundraiser, who raised £461.14 on her own towards the cause as well as securing sponsorship from a local venue, St Martins Conference Centre in Leicester, who provided printed t-shirts ready for the occasion, along with a £250.00 donation. She worked extremely hard to secure donations with her own fundraising box in circulation in her local community to raise funds for the cancer charity.

The business also saw donations from a number of suppliers including Re-Flow, Traffic Group Signals, First for Recruit, Fusion Communications, A1 Jobs and Workwear & Safety Supplies Limited. The grand total raised was £2,856 for the event, a fantastic achievement and great start towards the annual target.

HTM aims to raise awareness, funds, and support for individuals and families impacted by cancer, working towards a target of £10,000 raised for the charity by the end of the business year. The business has now raised £2,926 so far, with other activities in the calendar to include a HTM golf day and fishing match to get closer to the target.
