HTM is excited to announce the launch of Workvivo, a cutting-edge internal communications platform designed to enhance employee engagement and streamline organisational communication.

The new platform, Workvivo, comes as part of their ongoing commitment to employee engagement and fostering an open and honest culture that enables two-way communication and feedback. It offers a modern, user-friendly interface that combines the functionalities of a social intranet with robust communication tools.

Key features of the new platform include:

  • Personalised Activity Feed: Employees receive tailored updates, ensuring they stay informed on relevant company news and events, specific to their working location or depot.
  • Mobile Accessibility: With a dedicated mobile app, both desk-based and remote employees can stay connected, no matter where they’re working.
  • Recognition and Engagement Tools: Features like shout-outs and awards enable peer recognition, boosting morale and reinforcing company values, such as VIP Nominations.
  • Scope for Live Streaming and In-House Podcasts: The platform provides the chance to enhance internal communications in the form of live streaming and podcast series, something that is increasing significantly in the B2C market.

The company had been using another provider for some time, originally utilising Workplace as a means for operatives to share video audits of site set-ups and jobs.

“The needs of both the workforce and the business have changed dramatically since the original platform was introduced, and we needed to upgrade our software to streamline our communications,” said Marketing & Comms Manager, Flora Donnelly.

“The new platform enables us to apply far more personalisation and branding elements, so it feels much more like an intranet than a 3rd party platform. It also provides the scope for us to build out a lot more of our essential company information that most companies only provide at induction. We wanted this information to be easily accessible to all, without having to ask employees to use other apps or to depend upon the website for this information,” she continued.

Marcus Casey, Business Director, said: “It’s important that we have the right tools for the job, in all areas of our business. Workvivo is another example of us ensuring we are staying at the forefront of technology and communication methods and providing the correct means. If we want an open culture that encourages honesty and constructive feedback, we need to ensure the right measures are in place to allow that.”
