Highway Traffic Management Limited (HTM) proudly took to the streets once again for the Birmingham Pride Parade 2025, marking the fourth consecutive year the company has shown up and participated in the parade to show its support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Cheri Hicks, Transport Administrator attended the parade saying, “Everyone comes together, we all have fun. It’s just a really great day to see everyone come together from all walks of life.”

Aaron Rowles, Lead Operative at HTM, commented, ”It’s great to be on the HTM van celebrating Pride, it brings all the community together and we have such a laugh, such a great day, and it’s a great weekend.”

As a leading name in traffic management, the company recognises that visibility and inclusivity matter—not just on the parade route, but across traffic management and construction sites, offices, and road networks throughout the UK.

Representation Matters—Especially in Our Industry

The traffic management and wider construction sectors have historically lacked diversity, but change is happening. HTM is proud to be part of that change. By participating in events like Birmingham Pride, the company sends a clear message: there is space for everyone in traffic management, regardless of gender identity, sexuality, or background.

“Pride is more than just a day on the calendar—it’s a reminder that everyone deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported,” says Head of HR, Lucinda Sturman. “By showing up year after year, we hope to demonstrate our ongoing commitment to creating a more inclusive environment within our own teams and across the industry as a whole.”

For HTM, supporting the LGBTQ+ community is much more than participating in the parade and showing solidarity in the city centre —it’s part of the company’s values and culture. Through initiatives, training, and inclusive policies, HTM is working to ensure that everyone has a place in the world of traffic management.

As HTM celebrates another successful Pride, the company is already looking ahead. The goal isn’t just to attend Pride events—it’s to be a visible, active ally 365 days a year. That means continuing to listen, learn, and lead when it comes to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
