Highway Traffic Management (HTM) has officially achieved the Bronze Social Value Quality Mark (SVQM), reinforcing its commitment to delivering measurable social, economic, and environmental impacts across the UK’s road network.
As a registered Community Interest Company (CIC), the Social Value Quality Mark (SVQM) is the UK’s leading independent accreditation for organisations that deliver, measure, and embed social value. It recognises genuine commitment to creating positive impact – from community investment and sustainability to inclusive employment and ethical supply chains.
The independent accreditation validates HTM’s robust Social Value Strategy, positioning the business as a transparent, high-integrity supply chain partner for local authorities and tier-1 construction contractors.
As part of the Bronze benchmark, HTM established a cross-departmental Social Value Working Group and developed a clear roadmap outlining specific commitments to community investment, sustainable operations, and inclusive employment. The framework ensures all social value claims are backed by rigorous data and evidence, with HTM scheduled for a full audit in 12 months to measure ongoing progress.

Matt Higgs, HSEQ Director at HTM, commented:
“Achieving the Bronze award is a key milestone that shapes our strategic business objectives for the coming year. Within our ‘Streets Ahead’ culture, we are committed to continuous improvement. This accreditation gives our clients and partners full confidence that our social value commitments are genuine, measurable, and aligned with the needs of the communities we work in.”
Kayleigh Sutton, ESG Coordinator at HTM, added:
“The SVQM provides a rigorous framework holding us accountable for our environmental and community goals. It ensures there is clear evidence behind every commitment we make, allowing us to drive long-lasting positive impact as we prepare for the next stage of our roadmap.”
The Social Value Quality Mark is the UK’s leading independent accreditation for organisations embedding social value, overseen by an independent panel of public, private, and third-sector leaders to guarantee transparency and compliance.
